We are recruiting for an experienced Gas Service & Repair Engineer to join a busy and well-established heating services provider. The role involves carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on domestic heating and hot water systems across residential properties.
Overview of the Role
The primary responsibility of the Heating Engineer is to maintain and repair domestic heating and hot water systems, ensuring they operate efficiently, safely, and in line with current regulations. All work must be completed within agreed timeframes while delivering high levels of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repair works across a variety of domestic properties within the region
- Deliver excellent customer care when dealing with residents and tenants, maintaining required quality standards
- Communicate job progress and updates clearly, completing required documentation electronically and manually
- Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety legislation, including Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work, and COSHH requirements
- Follow stock ordering and auditing procedures to ensure parts are available for each job
Key Attributes & Requirements
- Gas qualifications are essential, including CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1 as a minimum
- Willingness to participate in an out-of-hours evening and weekend rota
- Friendly, professional, and customer-focused approach
- Ability to build strong working relationships with clients and tenants
- Successful completion of relevant criminal record and reference checks prior to employment
