As a Commercial Gas Service and Breakdown Engineer, you’ll be a crucial member of our service and maintenance team. You’ll ensure the safety and reliability of gas systems in clients' properties, earn competitive compensation, and make a real impact in residents' lives.
We are also after a candidate who can work flexibly and occasionally aide in some of our Domestic projects.Skills/Qualifications
- Proven competence in both Commercial and Domestic Gas
- Qualifications require: CCN1, CPA1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1, CODNCO1, TPCP1/A, ICPN1, CDGA1, CIGA
- Advantageous: Commercial catering assessments, unvented hot water, and water regulations.
- Professionalism, punctuality, flexibility, and PDA device proficiency.
Experience Required
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in gas servicing and maintenance.
- Prior work on commercial sites and within social housing or similar sectors is desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with UK driving license and DBS clearance.
- Proficiency with computers, PDAs or similar technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine commercial servicing and maintenance of gas appliances and systems, complying with industry standards.
- Diagnose and resolve gas breakdowns and emergencies swiftly and effectively.
- Complete necessary repairs and ensure ongoing safety and reliability in gas installations
Key Duties
- Maintain high standards and time efficiency on all jobs, with a focus on quality and safety.
- Uphold company values, proactively addressing and solving customer issues.
- Follow strict adherence to company procedures and industry regulations (Gas Safe, Gas Regulations).
- Order parts and manage job processes to ensure quick resolutions.
- Use PDA devices for parts booking and job updates.
- Communicate clearly with residents and clients about ongoing work.
- Ensure PPE and equipment are calibrated, maintained, and ready for use.
- Attend and engage in company briefings, training, and meetings.
- Stay updated on gas safety legislation and codes of practice.
- Participate in the company callout rota as required.
