HIU Engineer

Our client is recruiting for a HIU engineer. This role involves commissioning, servicing, repairing, and fault-finding on HIUs, as well as working on mechanical ventilation and heat recovery systems. Additional responsibilities include smart metering/PAYG commissioning, producing accurate site reports, and maintaining high standards of professionalism and customer service. Training and CPD participation are integral, along with adherence to health and safety requirements. Some short periods of working away from home may be required.

Responsibilities:

• Commission, service, repair, and fault-find on HIUs
• Install, commission, and service MVHR and ventilation systems
• Commission and repair smart metering and PAYG systems
• Provide professional communication and excellent customer service
• Produce accurate reports within the CRM system
• Participate in manufacturer and in-house CPD training
• Follow health & safety regulations at all times

Requirements:

• NVQ Level 2 Plumbing & Heating (desired)
• Plumbing/heating experience advantageous
• Knowledge of heat networks and HIU work desirable
• Familiarity with PAYG/smart metering beneficial
• Technical aptitude and interest in low-carbon technologies
• Strong customer service skills
• Proficient in MS Office and CRM data entry
• Good time-management, communication, and teamwork skills
