External LPG (Propane Gas) Bulk Tank Installer

The role is suitable for an Engineer who likes being/working outside.

ACS requirements: CCN1, CENWAT

The role

Installs, service and maintenance of LPG tanks.

Install

• Tank is delivered by crane and dropped in place on concrete base outside the property (2 to 10 m away), trenches are already dug when engineer gets there (customer responsibility)
• Engineer runs the pipework through the trenches from tank to property and connects at both ends (2-3 hrs work), then done checks and commissions the installation
• Engineers can do 2-3 installs/day. Daily work varies but could be a mixture of installs, servicing, and repairs
• Engineers’ gat a 7-day schedule on their iPad which updates every 2 or so days
• Engineers must be prepared to travel a bit due to all the installs being done to remote properties where there aren’t any natural gas mains/runs

Servicing (MCA – annual check)

• Takes around 40 min: checks regulators, fuel valve and other check points, ultrasound check, etc.
