We are recruiting for an experienced Electrical Installation Engineer to support the installation of new domestic heating systems and associated controls. This role is suited to a qualified electrician with strong knowledge of heating system wiring, fault finding, and current electrical regulations.
Overview of the Role
The Electrical Installation Engineer will be responsible for carrying out electrical installations for new heating systems, including all associated controls. The role involves working with S and Y plan wiring, fault finding on existing installations, and completing certification in line with BS7671, while maintaining a safe working environment at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Install wiring for a variety of domestic heating systems in accordance with BS7671
Fault find existing heating system wiring and carry out alterations or new installations for S and Y plan systems
Identify and rectify wiring faults and diagnose faulty components such as pumps and valves
Produce Electrical Minor Works Certificates in line with regulatory standards
Always adhere to company Health & Safety policies and procedures
Stay up to date with changes in electrical standards, regulations, and industry best practiceKey Attributes & Requirements
City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
City & Guilds 2382 – 18th Edition
Proven experience and knowledge of current UK domestic heating systems and their wiring
Full UK driving licence
