Starting Salary Dependant on experience: £31,000 - £35,000 per annum + Overtime + Pension + Healthcare

Our client is currently recruiting for an Assistant Gas Engineer who will play a vital role in assisting the Gas Network/Service Engineer to install, replace and maintain underground pipework and associated equipment at customer’s premises and public highways.
The Ideal candidate will enjoy working as part of a team and possess strong customer service skills. They will also be able to prioritise well and work to tight schedules.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Work safely at all times wearing relevant PPE
- Assist the Gas Network/Service Engineer with all aspects of the role
- Domestic & Commercial site work including installations, replacement and maintenance of underground pipe work.
- Manual handling
- Operating Pneumatic tooling in a safe manner
- Use of breathing apparatus
- Travel will be required as part of the role.
As such we would like you to:
- Hold a full, valid UK driving licence
- Must be eligible to work unrestricted in the UK
- Experience in a similar role
- Be flexible and willing to travel
- Have strong customer services skills
- Be an organised individual
- Ideally hold a EUSR SHEA Gas safety qualification
- Ideally hold a NRSWA certificate for operatives
- Ideally Hold a NPORS plant operators’ qualification
