Dual Fuel Engineer

Description

We are seeking experienced and motivated Dual Fuel Engineers to join our growing team on a self-employed basis. This role involves the installation, exchange, maintenance, and removal of gas and electricity meters while delivering excellent customer service and ensuring full compliance with industry regulations.

Engineers have the flexibility to use their own fully compliant van or opt for a company-provided van, depending on preference.

Key Responsibilities
Install, exchange, commission, and decommission gas and electricity meters.
Carry out dual fuel smart meter installations in domestic properties.
Diagnose and resolve meter-related faults where appropriate.
Complete all work in accordance with industry standards, health and safety regulations, and company procedures.
Accurately complete job reports and required documentation using handheld technology.
Deliver outstanding customer service and provide customers with meter usage guidance.
Maintain a high first-time completion rate and quality standard.
Ensure all tools, equipment, and PPE are maintained in good condition.

Requirements
Essential
Valid CMA1, MET1, or equivalent dual fuel qualifications.
Current Gas Safe registration (where applicable).
Proven experience in dual fuel meter installations.
Full UK driving licence.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
Strong commitment to health and safety compliance.


Desirable
Smart Metering qualifications.
MOCOPA authorisation.
Previous experience working on a self-employed basis.
Experience using handheld field service devices.
